Can you believe it? The Char Kway Teow is so good that Sien Chi cannot resist it after he has completed a 3-course meal
Richard is happy with the food while Kevin and You Ken are debating whether Hor Fun or Kway Teow taste better.
Kia Hong (a.k.a. Lin Lao Ban) a University of Tennessee Alumni finds time to catch up with Siak Thong and his family

Yeo Siak Thong, ex Gan Eng Seng and NJC band member and alumni of University of Tennessee, Knoxville suddenly surfaced after 26 years!
Also heard that Liew You Ken is back for a month, so it would be nice to catch up with Wei Ming, Heng Chew, etc who will be at dinner tonight.
As a forefeit for not keeping in touch all these years, I shall appoint Siak Thong to be the blog adminstrator and give us an update of his life in the USA after graduation. We understand he has an American wife.
This is Siak Thong's email: yeos@saic.com

Welcome to NJC 1975-76 Blog
Hello friends,
A warm welcome to our very own blog created specially for college mates who were the 6th batch of students at the National Junior College. We started our pre-University education at 17 in a lecture-tutorial system for the first time after 10 years of fixed classroom type arrangement. Finally there were no prefects and prefect masters, or disciplinary masters, and guess what? Our principal Lim Kim Woon himself has to manage the blossoming pre SDU activities amongst 2000 highly charged students wth raging hormones.
We came from all walks of life. The rich and the poor, the have and have nots, the chauffered and the bused, but certainly the brightest brains from all of the schools in Singapore and scholars from ASEAN (remember Kemadist Chiaruchiaruwat?) , and some that just scrapped through the 11 point "O" level preliminary exams entry requirement, and 13 points to stay in after the final O level results were out.
I think we will all agree that even though we were together only for a short 20 months or so, the friendships and bonds forged were one of the purest and left the deepest impact in our lives. Because you didnt choose your friends based on their background, religion, status or future potential.
We are now proud to have ONE full Minister from our cohort, many top doctors, bankers, civil servants, musicians, and successful career people and businessmen, and also humbler social workers and housewives amongst us as we celebrate our 50th birthday in 2008. Yes Uncle & Aunties, we are half a century old!
So welcome and make this your forum to post your memories, your black and white pictures, secret loves, lost opportunities, and catch up with old friends, make new ones, and announce your children's weddings and birth of your grandchildren.
Everyone has been sent an invitation to allow you to log in, edit, post, and upload your pictures, poems, announcements on the blog. This blog will be here until Google goes bellyup, so its continuity is assured only by the interest and members posting to it.
Happy blogging! ...
With best regards,
Loh Sien Chi
